All eyes on Vitamin E - can it improve our vision?

This week, we’re exploring Vitamin E!

We’ve included Vitamin E in our Daily Glow Hemp Seed Capsules, alongside skin nourishing nutrients for effortlessly healthy, glowing skin.

But why is Vitamin E crucial to the maintenance of our skin health, and can it even play a role in improving our vision?

Let's dive in...

Why is Vitamin E important?

Vitamin E helps maintain healthy skin and eyes, as well as strengthen the body's natural defence against illness and infection (the immune system).

Vitamin E is fat soluble, meaning that your body stores and uses it as and when it needs. It could play a key role in protecting your cells from damage, and even slow the aging process of cells.

How much Vitamin E do I need?

You should be able to get all the vitamin E you need from your diet, as well as supplements such as our Daily Glow Hemp Seed Capsules.

NHS England recommends consuming 4mg a day for men or 3mg a day for women.

What are good sources of Vitamin E?

Vitamin E is found in a wide variety of foods, including plant oils (such as rapeseed and sunflower), nuts and seeds, cereals containing wheatgerm, avocado and green vegetables like broccoli.

How does Vitamin E help my skin?

Vitamin E – as an antioxidant - fights off pesky free radicals on the skin, which are often the result of environmental toxins, such as unprotected sun exposure and air pollution.

In fighting off free radicals, Vitamin E helps protect the skin from damage.

Can Vitamin E improve my vision?

Vitamin E could play an important role in supporting your eye health.

Vitamin E is believed to protect eye cells from the harmful molecules that break down healthy eye tissue. Such a break down could result in the formation of cataracts or age-related macular degeneration.
