There’s no denying that for many, the key to happiness lies in a full stomach. Looking for ways to get creative in the kitchen with CBD? We’ve put together some mouth-watering CBD recipes that you can enjoy for lunch or as a post workout snack as part of your daily #quarantineroutine. From tasty protein-packed smoothies to homemade CBII-infused peanut butter, simply add a few drops of your CBD and boom! You're good to go.

Not only is adding a few drops to your smoothie an easy way to incorporate CBD into your every day, but it's also a great way to disguise the taste if you're not a fan of it's earthy flavour. We hope these tempting treats will make lockdown more bearable - even if only a little bit!

1. GREEN POWER SMOOTHIE - VEGAN

Green cbd power smoothie with CBII

 

This tasty green smoothie is packed with calcium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamins A, C, and E to set you up for the day ahead. Adding CBII CBD is optional and totally up to you. 

  • 1 banana (frozen)
  • 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
  • ½ cup mango – if in season (chopped)
  • 2 large handfuls of baby spinach leaves
  • ¼ cup / 60 ml pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts
  • ½ scoop / 30 ml vanilla protein powder
  • ¼ cup / 60 ml water
  • 3 - 5 drops of 200 mg CBD oil

Put all of the ingredients except the CBD in a blender and mix until combined. Then add a few drops of CBD oil and give it a quick boost until it’s mixed in.

2. PEANUT BUTTER & BANANA PROTEIN SMOOTHIE - VEGAN 

A deliciously balanced CBD smoothie loaded with calcium, potassium, and fibre. Makes enough for two so you can store it overnight or share it.

  • 2 bananas (frozen)
  • 4 – 6 tbsp peanut butter or pb2, or allergy-friendly sub
  • 1 ½ to 2 cups almond milk (or alternative of choice)
  • 1/8 tsp of salt
  • 1/3 cup ground up oats (optional)
  • Scoop of protein powder (optional)
  • Up to 5 drops of 500 mg CBD oil
  • Optional: vegan caramel sauce and chocolate chips

3. HOMEMADE RAW CHOCOLATE - PERFECT FOR EASTER

With Easter just aroud the corner, we've been searching for the perfect recipe. These homemade chocolate bars can be made in raw chocolate form or more brownie-like squares, depending on what optional extras you add to it. Just remember: don't heat or cook CBII as it loses its potency!

  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • ¼ cup cocoa or cacao powder
  • 3 tbsp coconut nectar, honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp peanut or almond butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 6 - 10 drops of 200 mg CBD oil

Optional toppings:

  • Quinoa pops
  • Pistachios and other nuts
  • Coconut flakes
  • Cacao nibs
  • Goji berries

Mix the coconut oil, nut butter, honey/syrup, vanilla, cocoa powder, and salt in a large heat-proof bowl. Place the bowl over a pan of gently simmering water and stir continuously until it’s combined into smooth chocolate.

Pour the chocolate into a tin or container lined with baking paper. Allow to cool in the fridge for 10 minutes until it reaches a dough-like consistency. When the mixture is cool, add a few drops of CBII and work the toppings in. Press the CBD recipe mixture down into a cookie tray and store in the freezer until set. When you're ready to serve, cut it into slices and enjoy!

4. TOAST OR OATS WITH CBII-INFUSED PEANUT BUTTER

Peanut butter is a great ingredient to mix with your CBII as it’s a good source of healthy protein and fats. You can make your own CBII-infused peanut butter CBD recipe or simply add a few drops to a scoop of peanut butter and you’re good to go!

  • Bread or oats
  • Scoop of homemade peanut butter
  • Chia seeds to top (optional)
  • Sliced banana to top (optional)

HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER

Place the peanuts into a blender and combine into a paste. Stir in the honey, salt and drops of CBII. Store in the fridge in an airtight container. 

5. NO-BAKE PEANUT BUTTER PROTEIN BALLS - VEGAN

These CBII protein balls are easy to make in all sorts of ways. You can substitute the toppings for absolutely anything you like. Get creative and share your ideas with us!

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter or nut butter alternative
  • ½ cup ground flax seeds
  • ½ cup non dairy dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 – 2 scoops vegan protein powder (optional)
  • Up to 5 drops of 500 mg CBD oil

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until the oats are ground and the batter forms a dough (approx. 30 seconds). Take 2 tbsp of the mixture at a time and roll into balls. Place onto a lined baking tray and leave to set in the fridge for half an hour. You can store them in the fridge for up to week – if they last that long!
