In short, CBD stands for cannabidiol [cah-nuh- bih-dye-ohl], a compound that naturally occurs in the Cannabis sativa L. plant, otherwise known as hemp. CBD is found in larger amounts in the Cannabis sativa L. species and unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive so you can take it with ease.

Full spectrum CBD is a whole-plant extract, the most raw and unrefined version. It contains all the natural compounds of the hemp plant, including major and minor cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and essential fatty acids for full-plant benefits, known as the entourage effect.
